3 Greatest Hall of Fame Snubs in Bears History

The Chicago Bears are one of the most storied franchises in the NFL. According to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, they have a record 26 players who spent the "primary" part of their career with the Bears. That is six ahead of the second place Green Bay Packers, who have 20.

Even with all of those players in the Hall, there are plenty more who could join them soon. These three Bears should be next on the list to enter the Hall of Fame.

3. Devin Hester

Devin Hester may be the greatest punt returner the league will ever see. As the NFL puts more and more rules in place to protect player from contact, the art of the punt return is dying. Hester's 14 punt returns for touchdown is the most in league history. His 3,695 punt return yards are third all-time. It's time to show some love for special teams and put this three time All-Pro in the Hall of Fame.

2. Steve McMichael

Defensive tackle Steve McMichael should be a Hall of Fame lock based on hair alone. McMichael had flowing long hair years before Clay Matthews made it cool. He was also an absolute monster inside, totaling 92.5 sacks in 13 seasons in Chicago, second-most in Bears history behind former teammate Richard Dent. McMichael should be joining Dent in the Hall in the years to come.

1. Lance Briggs

Lance Briggs formed a dangerous D-line duo with 2018 Hall of Fame inductee Brian Urlacher. Briggs is often the more overlooked of the duo, but he deserves a HOF nod in his own right. Briggs spent all 12 seasons of his career in Chicago, earning seven Pro Bowl appearances. His 944 solo tackles rank second most in Bears history only behind Urlacher, and 17th in the league all time. His defensive prowess should get him into the Hall in the coming years.
