3 Fatal Flaws That Could End Packers' Playoff Run

The Green Bay Packers entered Week 15 with a 10-3 record atop the NFC North and well in control of their own destiny. Aaron Rodgers and Co. seem hell bent on trying to crack the Super Bowl this year. But if they're going to make it to Miami in February, they need to recognize these three flaws that could send them home earlier than they expected.

3. Tight End Production

The lack of production from the tight end position could come back to bite the Packers in January. Jimmy Graham has just 382 receiving yards and three touchdowns in 13 games this year. Aaron Rodgers absolutely needs to be able to rely on his tight ends, especially if the offense wants to finish off drives in the red zone.

2. Run Defense

While explosive running plays haven't necessarily killed the Green Bay Packers, the ground game has caused them some serious trouble this year. They've allowed 14 touchdowns via the run this year, tied for the fifth-most in the league. Letting teams dominate time of possession keeps the ball out of Rodgers' hands and forces the offense into tight situations that could ultimately prevent a deep playoff run.

1. Punting

While it might not seem like an important part of the game the field position battle is always important when the playoffs swing around. This, unfortunately, is an area where Green Bay has struggled. Punter JK Scott has averaged just 38.36 yards per punt since the start of Week 8, and if he continuously gives the opponent favorable field position, the Packers' defense will be starting drives at a disadvantage.
