The Atlanta Braves are a team stacked with talent in 2020. That means there is not too much room on the roster for prospects to get called up and develop. However, the talent pool runs deep in the organization and an injury or two means Braves fans should know about the following three prospects. They could be significant contributors as soon as this year.

3. Cristian Pache

Cristian Pache is the top prospect in the Braves system and reached Triple-A in 2019. He is set to take over center field and form a dominant trio with Ronald Acuna Jr. in right and Marcell Ozuna in left. For all of 2019, Pache slashed .277/.340/.462 and had 36 doubles. The young man is 21 years old and was added to the team's 40-man roster last year. It is only a matter of time, or service time manipulation, before he takes over in center.

2. William Contreras

The Atlanta Braves don't have a glaring need at catcher in 2020. Travis d'Arnaud is set to start. But if he struggles, Wililam Contreras is down in the minors getting ready to take over. The younger brother of Willson reached Double-A last year and is the eighth-ranked prospect in the Braves system. Catchers always take longer to develop and his defense will be the focus. A .255/.315/.354 line in 2019 must be improved upon in 2020.

1. Ian Anderson

The Braves are already dealing with a Cole Hamels setback in February. The entire rotation could use a boost and Ian Anderson is a candidate to join the team later in 2020. The right-handed pitcher was the third overall pick in the 2016 draft and is the third-ranked prospect in the organization. He reached Triple-A in 2019 and had a 6.57 ERA in five starts. Starting 2020 at that level should allow him to settle in better and make himself a candidate as a late-season call-up.
