On Dec. 28, the highly-anticipated showdown of No. 1 LSU vs. No. 4 Oklahoma will arrive. Oh my, get your popcorn ready for this one folks, as the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta will be rocking. With a trip to the National Championship Game on the line, what can we expect from both sides?

In this piece, we're thinking outside the box here and provide three bold predictions for the Tigers-Sooners tilt.

3. Jalen Hurts Rushes for More Than 100 Yards

With LSU's beastly defensive line, team's have had little success establishing the run against them. Well, few quarterbacks in the country are more elusive than Jalen Hurts. The QB has rushed for more than 100 yards in five games this season, but he can also kill you with his arm. If the Sooners want to stun the Tigers, he'll need to showcase his unreal athleticism. Will this result in more than 100 yards on the ground? We think so.

2. Joe Burrow Throws for 400 Yards and 5 Touchdowns

The young man is looking like a Heisman Trophy winner right now. Burrow's rocket for a right arm has continued to slice and dice opposing defenses. Fortunately for him, Oklahoma defensive coordinator Alex Grinch's unit has been torched in games this season, allowing big play after big play. Will they be able to contain Burrow? No chance. No. 9 has thrown for 48 touchdowns this season and his 4,715 yards is second in the country only to Washington State's Anthony Gordon. Look for him to toss for 400+ yards and five scores.

1. LSU Escapes With a 3-Point Victory

LSU opened as a 13-point favorite over Oklahoma in the CFP semifinals. Yup, that's a big ol' spread in favor of the Tigers, who cruised to an undefeated season and SEC Championship win. However, the Sooners are no slouch themselves and are coached by Lincoln Riley, Grinch and Co. You're sadly mistaken if you think they're just going to roll over. Hurts won't allow this. We think this game will come down to the wire, potentially with a late field goal winning it for Coach O.
