3 Bold Predictions for Alabama vs Texas A&M

Currently the No. 1 team in the country, Alabama will have their toughest test of the 2019 season to this point, as they will head to Kyle Field and lock horns with Kellen Mond, Jimbo Fisher, and a Texas A&M team hungry to get rid of the stink of their home loss against Auburn. Like most ranked SEC games, this game is going to be off the rails in a hurry.

3. Alabama is Held Under 100 Yards Rushing

Steve Sarkisian has kept the Tua Tagovailoa aerial show going in his first year as Alabama OC at the cost of the running game. Najee Harris and Brian Robinson Jr. have been solid players for the Crimson Tide this season, but Harris' 337 yards in five games are by no means jaw-dropping, and neither player has a run of longer than 20 yards this season. It's foolish to expect those numbers to change against Justin Madubuike and a talented Aggies defensive line.

2. Kellen Mond Commits 3 Turnovers

Mond has disappointed during his junior season season. He's performed well enough (10 TDs, 4 picks) but Aggie fans and NFL scouts alike are still waiting for him to take that next step as a passer. A good recipe for improving yourself as a passer rarely includes playing Alabama, as that defense looks just as ferocious as ever, even without linebacker Dylan Moses in the fold. Look for Shyheim Carter, Xavier McKinney, and Patrick Surtain II to make life hell for Mond on Saturday.

1. Tua Throws 4 Touchdowns in a Victory

Tagovailoa has thrown for 23 touchdowns and no interceptions in just five games this season, which would be considered exceptional in a video game on Rookie difficulty. Given how even the struggling Bo Nix and a backup in Arkansas' Ben Hicks managed to move the ball against this Aggies secondary, there's no reason why Alabama shouldn't be able to carve that unit up. The Tide will be unfazed by Kyle Field and leave College Station with a convincing win.
