The Alabama Crimson Tide came out with their initial depth chart in their second season with Tua Tagovailoa at the helm, and more than a few decisions left us scratching our heads. With the following three players forced into roles of prominence, it's time to see if this trio will flourish or cower given the increase in responsibility.

3. Miller Forristall As TE1

Miller Forristall, a senior, waited his turn to earn this spot, as he had to watch Irv Smith snatch all of his targets away from him. With only 6 catches in three seasons to date -- and none last season whatsoever -- the blocking tight end will be forced into a role that will require him to improve as an offensive weapon. Steve Sarkisian has a knack for using tight ends as able receivers, so he'll be one to keep an eye on.

2. Shyheim Carter Starting at 2 Positions

Carter was listed as the starter at both strong safety and the DB-linebacker hybrid role dubbed the "star" position. The backup at star is cornerback Patrick Surtain II. Carter was at his best in that role last year, as he was given the freedom to roam all over the field, fly around, and lay some big hits. It remains to be seen if he'll end up back in that role or concede it to Surtain as he moves to safety full-time.

1. Jaylen Waddle and Jerry Jeudy As Co-Starters

Steve Sarkisian must LOVE him some Jaylen Waddle, because he listed him as a co-starter at the "H" wide receiver position alongside 2018 Biletnikoff Award winner and projected Top-10 2020 draft pick Jerry Jeudy. The speedy wide receiver picked 848 yards and seven touchdowns as the No. 4 target in the passing game last year, but looks primed for a huge year in Sark's offense alongside an established star.
