What good is any award announcement without a little controversy? The NBA All-Defensive Teams were announced Wednesday, and some notable names were left off. Here are the three biggest snubs from the NBA All-Defensive Teams.

3. PJ Tucker

Tucker played some stifling defense for the Rockets this year and now has nothing to show for it. He averaged 2.3 steals per game and finished with a modest 3.0 defensive win shares, and based off of they eye test alone, he deserved some recognition.

2. Patrick Beverley

Golden State Warriors v Los Angeles Clippers - Game Six

It was another strong defensive year for the two-time All-Defensive player. Beverley finished with 0.6 blocks per game, his highest total in his entire career, and he finished with 2.0 defensive win shares. Unfortunately, it apparently wasn't enough to impress the voters.

1. Myles Turner

Indiana Pacers v Boston Celtics - Game Two

Perhaps most outrageous is Myles Turner's absence from both teams. It's absurd that a man who averaged 1.4 steals and 4.6 blocks per 100 possessions with a 101 defensive rating to boot didn't make the cut. If there's one thing that the voters should be ashamed of, it's snubbing Turner in such atrocious fashion.
