The MLB Draft, normally a marathon that features over 1,000 picks, has been severely shortened due to the coronavirus pandemic, and the 2020 version will consist of just five rounds in total. But that won't stop fans from tuning in to see who their team selects.

How to Live Stream 2020 MLB Draft

The first round of the 2020 MLB Draft will be broadcast at 7:00 p.m. ET on MLB Network and ESPN, while the remaining four rounds will be broadcast on MLB Network and ESPN2 starting at 5:00 p.m on Thursday. Live streams are available on the ESPN app and behind this link, via the Reddit live stream community.

The Detroit Tigers have the No. 1 pick and are expected to use that selection on Arizona State first baseman Spencer Torkelson. The slugging first baseman has hit .337 with 54 home runs in 129 college games, leading many to believe he's the perfect choice to succeed Miguel Cabrera in Detroit.

The Baltimore Orioles and Miami Marlins have the next two picks, and those two are expected to add Vanderbilt outfielder/third baseman Austin Martin and Texas A&M starting pitcher Asa Lacy.

College players like New Mexico State's Nick Gonzales and Arkansas' Heston Kjerstad could end up picked in the top half of the first round, as could high school prospects like outfielders Robert Hassell III and Zac Veen.

Even if the draft will be heavily cut down as compared to past seasons, that doesn't change the fact that hundreds of star prospects will see their lifelong dream realized over the next two days.
