2020 4-Star DB Prospect Mordecai McDaniel Flips Commitment From Tennessee to Florida

A Volunteer no longer, 4-star safety recruit Mordecai McDaniel -- great name, by the way -- flipped his commitment from the University of Tennessee last night, deciding to take his talents to Gainesville as a member of the Florida Gators' 2020 class.
McDaniel's decision comes in the wake of a disappointing year for Jeremy Pruitt's Vols, who many had pegged as a potential spoiler in the SEC East.

Following a 10-2 campaign from Dan Mullen's Gators, their second straight season with double-digit wins, hope is officially renewed for the once-dominant Florida program. Adding McDaniel's name for 2020 made Friday a fine day for Mullen, as the Orange and Blue were able to pull in four-star offensive lineman Josh Braun.

For the ever-rising Gators, another strong recruiting haul could go a long way towards shaking up the SEC pecking order following nearly a full decade of frustrations.
