2 Chiefs Fans Stole a Life-Size Patrick Mahomes Cutout From McDonalds and Crashed Their Getaway Car

Sports fandom can drive certain individuals to partake in some truly bewildering antics, but this story concerning two particular Kansas City Chiefs devotees is borderline lunacy.
Two Lawrence County citizens were arrested Thursday after they reportedly usurped a life-sized cutout of quarterback Patrick Mahomes from a local McDonalds.
The individuals, allegedly a man and a woman, subsequently stormed out of the restaurant and fled the scene in their getaway car, only to be involved in a wreck shortly thereafter.

Authorities investigating the crash, which wasn't said to be serious, spotted the cutout in one of the vehicles that just so happened to match the description of the car spotted speeding out of the McDonald's parking lot.
The individual from the wreck who wasn't involved in the theft of the cutout ended up with minor injuries, for which they were treated at a hospital.
As for the two maniacs who stole the Mahomes poster, well, they were citied for the accident and distributed notices to appear in court on theft charges.

The Showtime cutout was eventually returned to the McDonalds and was reported to not have sustained any damage in the crash.
Just when you think you've seen it all, folks. You really can't put anything past a couple of crazed sports fans. Luckily, nobody was seriously harmed during their escapade.
