The Sugar Bowl didn't go to plan for the Georgia Bulldogs and there's no question that Kirby Smart has some calls he'd like back. On the list includes not kneeling with less than 40 seconds left in the first half.
Instead, he decided to let Gunner Stockton try and make something happen, which eventually gifted Notre Dame a free touchdown. Paul Finebaum saw this go down and he had no choice but to let the Bulldogs have it over such a terrible call:
"It was just a terrible call in every respect. ... don't put the game in [Gunner Stockton] hands when you're only 3 points behind."

Finebaum makes a good point here. Had UGA taken a knee to close out the half, the team would have entered the locker room down by only three points. Instead, the Stockton fumble led to ND scoring on the next play. It was a terrible mistake from Smart, no doubt about that.
