Georgia stays hot on the recruiting trail by landing 4-star safety

The Georgia Bulldogs are now up to five commits for the 2026 class, as Kirby Smart and his staff have landed a commitment from four-star safety Zech Fort. Fort is ranked the No. 8 safety in his class according to 247Sports.
Throughout his recruitment, Fort has been a popular target, as more than 30 programs have put a scholarship on the table for him. However, despite powerhouses across the country hoping to land his verbal, it's UGA and Smart who have gotten that done:

Once again, this is an exciting get for the Bulldogs, as Smart and his staff have to be pretty fired up about things here. Notre Dame, Ohio State and Alabama were in the hunt late in this process as, but Fort will be Athens-bound next year.
