With the New England Patriots making headlines for allegedly recording their opponents, fans of NFL teams everywhere are on high alert for things that look fishy. Anything out of the ordinary is subject to intense scrutiny.

The case is no different when rivalries are involved.

The Cleveland Browns were squaring off against their foes from Baltimore on Sunday afternoon when one fan noted that an assistant on the Ravens' sideline was wearing a bluetooth earpiece. Questions of its legality naturally became a point of interest.

It certainly looks suspicious. An earpiece like that could easily be used to relay information about the other team's play-calling down to the field.

And of course, this could also throw the entire validity of the Ravens' wildly successful season into question. If they've been stealing information in-game, it could besmirch everything they've achieved this season.

Browns fans have, naturally, attempted to slide into the DMs to check the validity of this earpiece, and former NFL exec Mike Lombardi gave them exactly the answer they were looking for here.

This is obviously all speculation, and it could end up being something harmless, but it is worth keeping an eye on.

There could be serious consequences if it turns out that the Ravens were in fact using this type of technology to gain the upper hand against their opponents. For now, it's a distracting force from another downer Browns performance.
