VIDEO: Troy Aikman Openly Calls Out Mike Pereira on Live Broadcast Over Terrible Tripping Penalty

Troy Aikman will always have the back of the Dallas Cowboys, having played in Dallas for a number of years and winning three Super Bowls with the team. However, no one will blame him over his comments on Sunday, where he made it perfectly clear he thought the tripping penalty called against Travis Frederick was a total joke. He made that much known to Mike Pereira, who tried defending the officials:

As if the league wasn't hard enough on offensive linemen, now "tripping" is being called regularly in the NFL? Aikman made sure the country heard how ridiculous the call was.

In addition to the call itself was the game situation. Many believe the flag on Frederick actually decided the game. Dak Prescott and Co. converted on 3rd-and-short, but the penalty wiped that away. With the game on the line, this kind of penalty simply was disastrous for Dallas.

This probably won't be the last time Aikman defends the Cowboys. And though he might be considered a homer at times, it's tough to argue with his logic in this case. The refs blew it.
