The second half of the 2019 SEC Championship got off to a rocky start. On the kickoff, LSU fullback Tory Carter speared UGA linebacker Walter Grant with a dirty blindside block, leaving Grant on the ground with an injury.

Carter comes in out of nowhere on the unsuspecting linebacker and lights him up with a vicious helmet-to-helmet hit. There's just no place in the game for this.

Carter was ejected from the game after referees determined the hit to be targeting, meaning the fullback won't be available for the remainder of the SEC title game, nor the first half of LSU's College Football Playoff game.

Even from a fan's perspective you could tell how brutal this block was.

Grant left the game after the hit, clearly shaken up from the brutal contact. He is the sixth Georgia player to pick up a knock during the contest.
