VIDEO: Edwin Encarnacion's 2-Run Double Caps off Yankees' Massive 2nd Inning

The first-place Yankees are red-hot, looking to win their fifth straight game Saturday in an inter-league matchup with the Colorado Rockies. Just three innings into the game, the Yanks are already well on their way to another victory. Newly-acquired DH Edwin Encarnacion put the cherry on top of a dominant five-run second inning with a two-run double to extend New York's lead to six.

The Yankees wasted no time getting on the board in Aaron Boone's first game back in the dugout after serving a 1-game suspension for his tirade on umpire Brennan Miller on Thursday.

Encarnación himself has not been fantastic since being acquired by the Yankees, but he's been heating up of late. So far in July, the 36-year-old slugger is batting just .191 with a .787 OPS. However, in the last week, he's blasted 4 home runs, notching 11 RBI and a slugging percentage of .800.
