VIDEO: Cowboys' Jeff Heath Not Even Flagged for Rough Helmet to Helmet Hit on Allen Hurns

The NFL has been pretty good about calling penalties on helmet-first hits as a deterrent against further dangerous play, but officials managed to let this one slide-- and it's not clear why. Dallas Cowboys safety Jeff Heath walloped Miami Dolphins wide receiver (and former teammate) Allen Hurns, causing Hurns to leave the game, although he did walk off under his own power. Heath's lethal hit should have been flagged, but the refs swallowed the whistle.

If the league is trying to get serious about these calls and outlaw them, than they need to explain why this was allowed to get off scot free. At the very least, Heath should expect a fine in the coming week.
