Cristiano Ronaldo and Euro 2016 champions Portugal are back in qualifying action Monday sitting second in Group B-- and looking up at today's opponents. Ukraine have taken 16 points in six games, and cannot be considered an easy mark for the Seleção today in Kiev.
Especially considering that CR7 is one goal away from 700 (!) for his career.

Portugal are currently four points ahead of Serbia in the group, and are right on track to make a triumphant return to Europe's biggest competition. But 11 points in five matches -- including a scoreless draw against this same Ukraine team in March -- isn't precisely the kind of pace they wanted to set.

The Ukrainians have been rampant in qualifying thanks to Atalanta's Ruslan Malinovskyi (three goals, three assists) and Viktor Tsygankov (three goals), the latter of whom will begin today's game on the bench. The home team have yet to lose in this competition so far, and won't roll over today without a fight.
