Tragic news surrounding the New Orleans Saints organization emerged Saturday with the news that the father of Bobby Hebert, Bobby Hebert Sr., passed away after battling coronavirus.

The younger Hebert was a quarterback with the Saints from 1985-1992 and is currently a radio personality in the city that has been hit hard by this pandemic. The Heberts are part of the Saints family and that led wide receiver Michael Thomas to send his condolences with a tweet offering up his prayers.

The message was simple in nature and a nice gesture from Thomas in an unimaginable time for the Heberts. This tragic reminder of how serious this pandemic is at this point in time should hopefully make people take this more seriously.

Hebert Sr. had two sons play football professionally and had a grandson attend LSU. The outpouring of condolences for the family shows how much he meant to those in the state of Louisiana.

Our thoughts are with the entire Hebert family.
