Sacramento Kings head coach Luke Walton is out of the woods. Legally speaking, anyway.

Former sports reporter Kelli Tenant has dropped a lawsuit that accused Walton of sexual assault dating back to when he was an assistant coach with the Warriors.

Tennant's lawsuit had accused Walton of forcefully committing lewd sexual acts, including unwanted kissing and groping, in a Santa Monica hotel room in 2017.

She has now asked a judge to dismiss the lawsuit with prejudice, which would mean that the suit cannot be filed again.

Tennant's case did not receive broad support, as TMZ suggests her attorneys basically admitted there was no video or photo evidence to help the lawsuit's key claims. Though there is no publicly known information regarding an out-of-court settlement at this time, such an agreement is potentially possible.

Walton vehemently denied all allegations, and the NBA's own investigation ultimately did not result in any punishment. The league also noted that Tennant refused to cooperate with its inquiry.
