The Golden State Warriors (and a number of potential suitors this summer) received the worst news imaginable for Kevin Durant. The two-time NBA Finals MVP suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon during Game 5, which will sideline him for quite a while.

Kawhi Leonard knows all too well about how brutal a significant long-term injury can be after he dealt with a troubling quad issue for a majority of last season. The Toronto Raptors star sent some words of encouragement Durant's way, letting him know that his play won't diminish and that he'll return stronger than ever.

That's extremely thoughtful to send well wishes to his opponent

If Leonard has shown NBA fans anything, it's that a player in his prime can overcome such a brutal setback. Durant should take solace in that as he looks to return to form on his road to recovery, regardless of what team he ends up on.
