After starting the season 4-0, the Kansas City Chiefs have dropped their last two games to the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans, both coming at home. The biggest takeaway from those back-to-back losses? The concerning injured ankle of MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Chiefs diehards are rightly hoping that Mahomes can pull through and avoid a serious injury-- and a number of them are officially ask for some help from the heavens. The Asbury United Methodist Church in Prairie Village, Kansas will hold a prayer service focused on Mahomes' ankle sprain.

"With the last two games, we kind of thought that they may need some type of help," said Asbury United Methodist Church facilities director Dave Burton, via WDAF Fox 4 Kansas City. "We knew that his ankle was injured, so we decided to possibly have a healing service to help him heal that ankle quicker."

You can't say Chiefs Kingdom isn't a passionate bunch.

The prayer and healing service will be held this upcoming Sunday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. It won't interfere with the Chiefs' game, since they play on Thursday night against the Denver Broncos.

Mahomes has been dealing with an ankle sprain since Week 1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. However, the injury was exacerbated after the reigning league MVP took a sack against the Colts in Week 5.

With Patrick Mahomes looking vulnerable, the devoted Methodists of Chiefs Kingdom will look for some divine intervention in order to ensure he can heal up and put the team back in the win column.
