The sports world may be on hold right now, but that won't stop the college football recruiting game from slowing down – especially for the University of Georgia.

While Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs haven't been able to meet with recruits in person over the last several weeks, UGA has managed to haul in several big-time commitments for the class of 2021 as they solidify what is destined to be another elite recruiting class. Georgia's latest commitment announced his pledge Thursday: running back Lovasea Carroll.

He's got a great name, but he's even better on the football field. The 4-star prospect out of Bradenton, Florida is the No. 8 halfback in the 2021 class according to 247Sports. After narrowing his recruitment down to five schools in January, Carroll plucked Georgia over Florida, Ohio State, Auburn; he was previously committed to South Carolina before backing out.

The IMG Academy running back averaged a whopping 10 yards per carry and scored eight rushing touchdowns in his junior season to help the Ascenders to a 9-1 record in the fall.

From Todd Gurley and Nick Chubb to Sony Michel and D'Andre Swift, Carroll is in line to be the next talented halfback to emerge from Georgia under Coach Smart. Dawgs fans were already plenty excited about their increasingly loaded 2021 recruiting class, and Carroll's commitment only makes things even sweeter.
