Freshman WR Who Transferred From USC to Texas Bizarrely Going Back to USC

Bru McCoy can't seem to make his mind up. After all sorts of hubbub this past year, the freshman wide receiver has decided to transfer back to the University of Southern California after de-committing from the school and transferring to the University of Texas just a few months back in January.
His original decision to transfer from USC was likely spurred on by new offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury's departure for the Arizona Cardinals head coaching job.
Freshman receiver Bru McCoy has informed Texas he will leave the program and transfer, according to my sources. McCoy officially informed the necessary people on Friday afternoon he will leave. He is expected to transfer back to USC, the school he transferred from in January.

The former 5-star recruit had his choice of top Division I schools, as he was the No. 1 ranked wide receiver in the country for his recruiting class. He was a monster at Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California, and he committed to USC in January. Less than a month after his enrollment, he transferred to Texas.
The move to transfer back to Southern Cal is incredibly confusing, especially because McCoy will likely have to sit out the fall season as a result of entering the transfer portal. It seems as though the SoCal native got home sick after a semester at Texas and decided this was the best solution.

This is surely a bittersweet moment for USC fans, who will be excited to have McCoy, but remain disappointed that he didn't stick around in the first place so that he could play during the upcoming season. On the other side of the coin, Tom Herman now has a void to fill at wide receiver.
