Dodgers' David Price Makes Incredible Gesture Towards LA's Minor Leaguers Amid Coronavirus Disaster

The coronavirus pandemic has hit players in the minor leagues hard over the last few weeks. While some organizations are releasing dozens of minor leaguers, some teams are simply maintaining their rosters, while refusing to give them enough money to survive.

In order to make sure the Los Angeles Dodgers' minor league players have a steady source of income, left-hander David Price confirmed that he is paying $1,000 per month to every minor league player not on the 40-man roster.

For a guy who hasn't even thrown a regular season pitch for the Dodgers, this is incredibly generous.

While Price should be rightfully lauded for his selfless act, it's worth knowing that the Dodgers are owned by a group of multi-billionaires that could triple Price's monthly care package and not even break a sweat. The fact players are essentially forced to bail out owners is a bit disheartening.

Price's altruistic gesture proves that he is one of the ultimate class acts in the game, but he wouldn't have had to do this if the multi-billionaires that own the Dodgers parted with what, to them, is pocket change.
