It will be Dame Time for the foreseeable future in Portland.

Despite being signed for the next two years to a max contract in which he's set to earn over $29 million in 2019-20 and over $31 million in 2020-21, Damian Lillard is expected to add even more years (and money) to his current deal.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Blazers and Lillard are working toward a supermax four-year extension.

Such a deal would pay Lillard $196 million in those four seasons, an incredible sum, which, while well-deserved, could limit Portland's spending long term. Nonetheless, Paul Allen is willing to pony up the money necessary to keep the Blazers' unquestioned leader.

Lillard provided arguably the moment of the postseason when he sunk the Oklahoma City Thunder and Russell Westbrook with a stunning buzzer-beater in the first round of the playoffs.

Lillard is the ideal face of a franchise: a pillar in the community who can deliver on and off the court --- a marketable asset for the future. He puts fans in the seats and delivers on the stat sheet as well as the standings.

If the Blazers continue to add around Lillard fresh off their first Western Conference Finals appearance, expect more postseason success in the years to come.
