In terms of scorching takes regarding this year's NFL Draft, we have just stumbled across the most jaw-dropping of the bunch to date.

If there's one thing that's been regurgitated about the 2020 class, it's that it's loaded with wide receivers. While most scouts and analysts likely all have contrasting rankings, most agree that Alabama stud Jerry Jeudy is the No.1 prospect. Well, everybody but former NFL quarterback Chris Simms, that is.

The NBC Sports pundit revealed his top five wideouts in this year's cycle, andJeudy didn't make the list. Fast forward to the 45-minute mark of the below video if you want to attempt to stomach Simms' shocking rationalization!

Simms' claim is that Jeudy isn't "as loved" by the league as most fans assume he is. Further, he asserted that the 20-year-old doesn't have any elite traits (!), and that a player like LSU's Justin Jefferson is faster, has better film, and is better after the catch than Jeudy.

We are flabbergasted, folks.

Everybody is obviously entitled to their own opinion, but it seems like Simms is dissing Jeudy just to be different -- to be that guy that "called it" if he doesn't pan as out as a star in the NFL.

There's nothing wrong with believing that Jeudy shouldn't be ranked No.1 ahead of enticing prospects like CeeDee Lamb or Bama teammate Henry Ruggs, but putting him outside the top-five is a straight-up farce. We cannot wait for the young star to make Simms eat crow.
