Carson Wentz's Stats Prove Fans Are Idiots for Ripping Him After Eagles' Last 2 Losses

We're not going to lie. We've sat here and said the Philadelphia Eagles should've traded Carson Wentz and kept Nick Foles in a move many could argue would've been better for the franchise.

But, that's not at all reflective of Wentz's abilities, it was more an indictment of his inability to stay healthy.

What's even crazier is that the former No. 2 overall pick is performing admirably this year, but is getting dragged by fans after the team's 1-2 start. Have you seen what he's been dealing with?

If Dallas Goedert catches that touchdown pass in the fourth quarter, it's safe to say the Eagles beat the Lions. Obviously, nobody is assuming every pass should be caught, but when you're team drops seven of them with this being one, it's a topic that needs to be addressed.

Yes, SEVEN balls were dropped and three balls were fumbled (two of which were lost). On the other hand, Wentz finished the game 19-of-36 for 259 yards and two touchdowns. What's the problem with that?

Did he hold onto the ball too long at times? Sure. Did he miss a few receivers here and there? Absolutely. But no game under center is perfect considering how hard it is to make quick reads while the defense is gunning for your head. The receivers and running backs simply can't make this many mistakes, end of story.

The Eagles' slow start is far from Wentz's fault.

It's unbelievable that fans are even making this an argument when Philly's special teams gave up a 100-yard kickoff return for a TD and the rest of the offense had this many drops and turnovers.

Is anybody watching the actual game?
