Nick Saban and Alabama recover from a disappointing season like no other in college football.

After failing to make the College Football Playoff, Saban and the Crimson Tide now boast the top 2020 recruiting class in the nation according to 247Sports, officially passing SEC rivals Georgia on Tuesday thanks to a rating boost for QB signee Bryce Young, who was bumped up to the No. 1 overall prospect in this cycle.

Young's status should surprise no analyst who truly understands his talent, and paired with fellow 5-star talents Timothy Smith, Drew Sanders and Will Anderson, the Crimson Tide's incoming group is stacked.

And Alabama is still in the mix for several undecided prospects who could boost their rating even further.

Young is likely to sit behind Mac Jones right away in Tuscaloosa, as Tua Tagovailoa's former backup took the reigns to end the season, putting up impressive numbers to boot. Behind Jones, however, remains a void that Young could very well fill (despite the emergence of Tua's brother, Taulia, as a viable option in his own right).

With the second installment of National Signing Day just a week away, Saban and Co. will hope to close on several remaining undecided prospects to cement their status as top dogs in the 2020 recruiting cycle.
