In easily one of the best opening matches of the Champions League, Bayern Munich was able to post an impressive showing against Manchester United on Wednesday night. There was plenty of drama in this one.
Bayern got on the board first with a goal from Leroy Sane, which should have been saved by Andre Onana. Then, the home side went up 2-0 thanks to a great goal. United was able to make things interesting with a goal early on in the second half, but then a penalty ruined their plans.
Harry Kane put the ball into the back of the next to make it 3-1. United cut the deficit to 3-2, but then Bayern Munich quickly scored to make it 4-2. Over there, right? Nope, as Casemiro scored late in stoppage time to close things out at 4-3. It was quite the battle, but Bayern Munich took home the three points.
