It's crazy to think that Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes would have only missed two games after dislocating his kneecap, but during his press conference on Friday, head coach Andy Reid announced that the reigning MVP will start on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.

Wow.

It's been less than a month since Mahomes was last on the field. You might see some rust out there, but that seems unlikely with this guy. He obviously has some kind of super-powered healing factor on par with Wolverine or Deadpool.

Veteran backup Matt Moore started in Mahomes' absence, and in two starts totaled 542 passing yards and three touchdowns against zero interceptions. He's now headed back to the bench.

With Mahomes on the sidelines, the Chiefs went 1-1, including last week where they defeated the Minnesota Vikings.

KC could have stayed on the safe side and let Mahomes sit another week, but his return to the practice field was a clear signal that he was ready to return to the gridiron-- despite how improabable that must have felt even two weeks ago.
