​You hate to see huge games in the Stanley Cup Playoffs decided by poor officiating, but that's where we're at in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Boston Bruins and ​Carolina Hurricanes. The Canes' Dougie Hamilton was called for roughing, and sent to the box in the process. In the resulting Power Play, the Bruins took a 3-2 lead. The ball may not lie, but the puck does often.

I mean...are we really going to call that at this point in the postseason?

We have to side with Carolina on this one. While officials earlier missed a pretty clear crosscheck to the back of ​Brad Marchand, this isn't the way to even things out.
