One sports radio show in Boston is already stirring things up for the NHL's Eastern Conference Finals. Fred Toettcher, co-host of the the decidedly pro-Bruins "Toucher and Rich" show on Boston's WBZ-FM, abruptly hung up the phone on a Carolina reporter who had called in to talk about the Hurricanes.

The moment occurs at the 20-minute mark of the video above, with Toettcher saying, "I just can't listen to a guy with a southern accent talk hockey."

Oh, boy.

The writer, Chip Alexander of the Raleigh News and Observer, was in the middle of talking about how Carolina turned their season around when they started scoring goals, a statement that led the Boston radio host to question just how insightful the reporter would be.

When Fred hung up on Alexander, I am sure something like this went through his head along the lines of, "Oh, what a bunch of jerks!"

This hang-up adds another layer to what already promised to be an exciting Eastern Conference  Finals series between a veteran team with experience and a young team with a vendetta. Hopefully, when it is all said and done, the Toucher and Rich show will have Alexander back on for an epic end-of-series showdown.
