Kris Bryant wasn't looking too sharp at the plate to start this season off, but that's all changed for the star third baseman. The Cubs' slugger came to the plate with two outs in the bottom of the ninth innings, runners on the corner. All he needed to do was poke a single through the infield, but what fun is that? Bryant had other plans.

Instead of hitting for contact, Bryant decided to clobber the baseball, tearing the cover off of it as it soared over the outfield grass and into the seats.

Game over.

Bryant's bomb was his sixth of the season and he's begun to get hot over the past couple of weeks. Perhaps he's reached the turning point of his prolonged slump.
