When you are in a slump, you have to do whatever you can to get out of it. Bryce Harper is doing just that, and in Tuesday night's game against the Cardinals, Bryce has decided to go old fashioned and rock the no batting gloves look.
We have seen Harper do this before, and if he feels like hitting without gloves will change the way things are going, Phillies fans will be all for it.
Harper is batting just .226 so far this season with 6 home runs, but over his last 15 games, his numbers have been absolutely brutal. Harper has just seven hits over his last 53 at-bats over that span for a .132 average, contributing only 2 home runs and 10 RBI to the Phillies' offense.
Nationals fans are overjoyed by the current state of Harper's offense, while his new team cannot be happy with the lack of production from their $300 million man. Maybe the no batting gloves will give Bryce the ability to reconnect with the bat and remove himself from this horrid stretch.
