The Chicago Cubs and Seattle Mariners are resuming battle on Wednesday after the visitors took the 6-5 win on Tuesday night at T-Mobile Park. The Cubbies didn't take long to secure a lead this evening-- in the top of the second inning, second baseman Javy Baez went oppo-taco to give Chicago a 1-0 lead. And trust us when we say it was an absolute laser to right-center field.

That was Baez's ninth homer of the year, which is tied for fifth in the entire National Lead.

Not only did Javy Baez's solo shot pad his statistics in 2019, it also opened up the flood gates, much to the dismay of Mariners fans. By the time the top of the inning was over, the Mariners were staring down a 6-0 deficit.
