After a statuesque first few days back from the DL, Gary Sanchez finally joined the Yankees' recent party in a major way. On a 1-2 pitch from the previously-rolling Derek Holland (who's expanded the strike zone tremendously all day), El Kraken took one way out of Oracle Park, denting Holland's opus.

That's the trademark power he was displaying in 2019 before calf issues!

The Yankees' overall roster is still shaping up strangely as April nears its close; key contributors like Gio Urshela and Mike Ford have made names for themselves, Troy Tulowitzki and Miguel Andujar are somehow nearing their returns, and Aaron Hicks fell into the Springfield Mystery Spot.

Against the odds, though, it's working. And Sanchez swinging from his heels like this after staying patient is a major part of the equation.
