Here we are a day away from the 2019 NFL Draft officially kicking off and the Eagles could be on the verge of striking a pretty big deal.
According ton NFL insider Ian Rapoport, who of course has his pulse on all the big NFL news this week, Philly could end up moving young wide receiver Nelson Agholor at some point this weekend.
One player teams view as being available: #Eagles WR Nelson Agholor. A versatile weapon, he carries a $9.4M fully guaranteed price tag and is a potential to be traded if Philly drafts a receiver.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) April 24, 2019
The big question for the NFC East squad will be whether or not they decide to take a receiver early on. Should they pick a youngster to catch passes from starter Carson Wentz, it would open up the door for the speedy Agholor to head out of town.
Though it hasn't been revealed which teams might be interested in landing his services, there's no question he could make an immediate impact for an offense. The 25-year-old stud hauled in 64 receptions for 736 yards and four touchdowns last season.
If the Eagles do draft Marquise Brown in the first round as @Tim_McManus predicted in the NFL Nation mock, you have to think they’ll immediately be shopping Nelson Agholor for a mid-round pick. Obviously could just hold him for one more year, but the market should be explored— Mike Clay (@MikeClayNFL) April 24, 2019
Though Agholor is adored in the City of Brotherly Love, Howie Roseman might have a few tricks up his sleeve come Thursday night. For now, we're all going to wait and see what the Eagles decide to do.
