Ezekiel Elliott's fitness recently came into question when a photo of the Cowboys' star running back emerged, appearing to show him overweight and out of shape. While Elliott has never been a slim individual, he certainly looked bulkier than fans had grown accustomed to seeing.
Well, in order to put an end to the rumors about his weight, Elliott took matters into his own hands, stepping on the scale shirtless and sharing his weight for all of social media to see.
Elliott stood in at 230 pounds, just a slight uptick from where he measured in at last season, around 225.
The Cowboys' running back was seen at the Dallas Stars game on Monday night, getting fed a mouthful of popcorn from Dak Prescott, something which probably didn't help Elliott's defense of his body shape.
But seriously, football fans should stop body shaming Elliott, as while he may not appear quite as lean as he was in seasons past, he proved that he hasn't been packing on the pounds too much. Also, it doesn't matter.
Ezekiel Elliott with a message for anyone who thinks he’s overweight. Scale says 230 pounds for the Cowboys RB https://t.co/lGx4YQxFz2— Jon Machota (@jonmachota) April 23, 2019
Elliott will be looking to use his 230-pound frame to run through opposing defenders and retain his rushing title from the 2018 campaign that saw him rack up 1,434 yards and six touchdowns.
