The pick is in, and boy is it a good one.
The #Jets hold off on trade offers and take Quinnen Williams at No. 3. The best player on most teams boards.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) April 26, 2019
Nicely done. No trade back here.

During his two years with the Crimson Tide, Williams was a force to be reckoned with on the defensive side of the ball. In 24 games he racked up 10.0 sacks, 26.0 tackles for loss, and 91 total tackles while winning the CFP Championship as a freshman.
He was a unanimous First-Team All-American last year with Alabama and even finished eighth in the Heisman voting as a redshirt sophomore.
Williams impressed scouts at the Combine with both his physical prowess and knowledge of the game, reportedly interviewing excellently throughout the process.
An NFL executive told me this week that Quinnen Williams' 15 minute Combine interview in INDY was as good as any 15 minute session he'd seen or been a part of from a defensive lineman before. Broke down opposing offense on film like he was an MLB; owned the room like a QB. @gmfb— Peter Schrager (@PSchrags) April 16, 2019
The defensive tackle plays the game with passion and grit, and he's a welcome addition to New York's defensive line for the 2019 season, where he should slot in as a Day 1 starter.
He's a defensive standout that's sure to make an impact the moment he steps foot on the gridiron at the NFL level. All in all, an excellent pick for the Jets.
