As launch approaches, the XFL still has a couple of coaching vacancies in Los Angeles and Houston.

Well, problem solved, right? It was reported by Jason La Canfora of CBS that former NFL head coach Jeff Fisher is in line to coach Houston. He's back! Right?

Well, that didn't sit well with Fisher, who took to Twitter to call that report "false news."

Maybe Fisher should consider taking this job, but it seems he's holding out hope that he could still get an NFL gig (or continue on in cushy retirement). Going to the XFL wouldn't help those chances.

Fisher was a longtime NFL coach, beginning his career with the Oilers/Titans from 1994-2010 before moving on to the Rams from 2012-2016. He was a very mediocre head coach, so he might be waiting a long time before getting another NFL opportunity. Mr. 7-9 could be getting a bit picky here.

Or, perhaps this is a case of him hating that this piece of news came out without his consent, and he just wanted to shove it to the reporter.

He let some fans hop in his menchies too, of course.

A 3/10 attempt at executing the joke, and Fisher let her know.

Call a spade a spade, Jeffrey.
