The Minnesota Vikings failed to live up to the hype in 2018 despite signing Kirk Cousins to a massive contract. Unfortunately for them, the Vikings missed out on a playoff spot in Week 17 and couldn't rekindle the form they showcased in the previous campaign.
2019 provides new hope for Minnesota fans, of course. And the NFL officially revealed the schedule for the Vikings next season to help get the fans even more hyped.
The Vikings open up their season against the Atlanta Falcons, while closing out their 2019 just like they did in 2018, against the Chicago Bears.
Minnesota is one of seven teams who own five primetime games in 2019. Their lone Thursday night game comes in Week 8 against the Washington Redskins.
Minnesota has two Sunday night against the Dallas Cowboys (Week 10) and Los Angeles Chargers (Week 15). The Vikings find themselves on ESPN for Monday meetings with the Seattle Seahawks (Week 13) and Green Bay Packers (Week 16).
Perhaps the most intriguing game this upcoming season comes in Week 9, when the Vikings defense will aim to hold off Patrick Mahomes and the high-flying Kansas City Chiefs.
Vikings fans, are you confident that the team can make the playoffs with this schedule? September is only a few short months away.
