Part of what has made the Phillies an offensive juggernaut in the early stages of this season is the consistency Jean Segura has given them at the top of the lineup. Look no further than their 10-run first inning in their trouncing of the Mets.

They could be without his presence for some time now, however, as Segura left Tuesday's game early on with hamstring tightness.

With Segura out, Maikel Franco will take his spot at third base and Andrew Knapp slides over to first base.

Segura is hitting .323 with a home run this season, having joined the Phillies during the offseason via a trade from the Mariners. The two-time All-Star is looking to avoid a stint on the IL following his exit from Tuesday's game.

For a team with power up and down the lineup, a veteran presence who will hit at or near .300 and be in the lineup every day is invaluable. Hopefully this injury is a minor, day-to-day injury and he can get back in the lineup as soon as possible.
