The Carolina Hurricanes blanked the Washington Capitals in Game 3 of their NHL Playoff series to earn their first win of this postseason, but they did take a hit when Alex Ovechkin beat Andrei Svechnikov into submission. Canes fans weren't happy, and apparently they weren't the only ones.

Svechnikov's brother took to instagram to post an apparent threat towards Ovechkin.

The post references 'Nightmare on Elm Street' and is based off of One, Two, Buckle My Shoe.

For those unfamiliar, the verse goes like this:

“One, two, Freddy’s coming for you

Three, four, better lock your door

Five, six, grab your crucifix

Seven, eight, gonna stay up late

Nine, ten, never sleep again”

We don't presume Ovechkin is in any danger, as the post is likely just in good fun.

Evgeny Svechnikov is a 22-year-old prospect in the Detroit Red Wings' system, so it's unlikely he'd really put his name on the line by putting Ovechkin in any immediate danger. Nonetheless, this is a curious decision by the Svechnikov family.

Better to settle things on the ice, folks.
