The New York Mets have been one of the surprise teams this far this season. They're first in the NL East and that has a lot to do with their bats. Brandon Nimmo has had a poor start to the year, but joined in on the action with this homer that gave the Mets a 2-1 lead against the rival Braves.

The quickest way to get a fanbase to forget about your struggles is to come through against a division team. Nimmo was clearly worried about his struggles at the plate, having dropped down to the 8-spot in the lineup. He couldn't hold back his emotions, letting out a huge smile as he rounded the bases.
The Mets are looking to hold on to their division lead in the second game of the series against the Braves and Nimmo came through. His stats thus far have been more nauseating than the chicken that gave him food poisoning, with a .150 batting average and an MLB-leading 23 strikeouts.
