Prior to the start of the Stanley Cup playoffs, NHL fans awaited to see which teams had the chance to select Jack Hughes or Kaapo Kakko.

The winners of the Draft Lottery were the New Jersey Devils, who have the first overall pick for the second time in three years.

The New York Rangers end up with the second overall pick, after jumping the Buffalo Sabres in the order. Ending up with the third overall pick are the Chicago Blackhawks, who had the fourth-worst odds of ending up with the top pick. Yet, they jumped the Minnesota Wild to end up in the Top 3.

The Colorado Avalanche had the best odds of earning the first overall pick, but dropped to pick No. 4, after the Devils jumped the Los Angeles Kings, who fell to the fifth pick.

Rounding out the top ten are the Detroit Red Wings, Sabres, Edmonton Oilers, Anaheim Ducks, and Vancouver Canucks.

Picks 11-15 belong the Philadelphia Flyers, Wild, Florida Panthers, Arizona Coyotes, and Montreal Canadiens, respectively.

The Battle of the Hudson got very interesting, as Hughes and Kakko will each end up on one of the Devils or Rangers. Could this be the start of a budding rivalry?
