Kansas City, thanks to the emergence of MVP superstar Patrick Mahomes, already looks like an attractive pick to make a run at Super Bowl LIV. However, while good teams have talent, great ones also have depth, and as such, the Chiefs could find use in adding these three players ahead of this month's NFL Draft.
3. Johnathan Cyprien
Kansas City could use some depth in the secondary, especially with Eric Berry now off the roster. Jonathan Cyprien was productive in Jacksonville, and although he never found his way in Tennessee, a change of scenery with a legitimate contender could bet the perfect jolt for the 28-year-old's career.
2. Derrick Morgan
Another former Titan, Derrick Morgan is a veteran outside linebacker that could bring some consistency to a thin core in Kansas City that no longer includes the great Justin Houston. Morgan may be 30 and aging, but for depth purposes, he could be exactly what the Chiefs need to bridge the gap post-Houston, being just one season removed from a 2017 campaign that saw him post 7.5 sacks and a pair of fumble recoveries.
1. Demaryius Thomas
The Chiefs need to add a wide receiver considering the doubt swirling around Tyreek Hill's status this year. Demaryius Thomas, arguably the best wide receiver still on the open market, would provide consistency and a capable starter if things go south with Kansas City's star wideout. The five-time Pro Bowler is a big target, and is the kind of weapon Mahomes could really learn to love.
