Dwayne Wade is in the midst of a bittersweet farewell tour in his final season in the NBA. Opposing players love and respect him, and want the honor of trading jerseys with "3." However, the Miami Heat legend cannot please everyone, and the younger players who may have grown up with jerseys and posters of Wade in their rooms are often forced to watch as Flash changes out his tank with a different player.

Following Miami's 100-92 win over the New York Knicks at the Madison Square Garden, Emmanuel Mudiay asks -- but is not granted -- permission to exchange with Wade.

That's gotta sting.

It is unclear who received the honor instead, although some reports suggest that he left the entire Knicks team--historically an arch-rival of the Heat--in the cold.

In his final game at the Garden, Wade came off the bench for 16 points. Mudiay led New York with a team-high 24 points, while Dion Waiters led both teams with 28 points. But it's this final denial that will stick in the mind longest.
