What a coaching job by Bruce Pearl of the Auburn Tigers.
Heading into their Sweet 16 tilt, Pearl made the obvious admission that gamblers ought to bet the over, as the Tigers were preparing for a track meet. In what's been a chalk tournament so far, Auburn provided a major wrench in UNC's plans, scoring 97 points and advancing to the Elite 8.

For the Heels, this marks the end to a tremendous college career for Luke Maye. The Tar Heels leader put forth quite the effort on Friday night, but ultimately UNC fell short due to the offensive onslaught by Auburn.

The Tigers had a balanced offensive attack, with five players finishing in double-figures in scoring. Chuma Okeke led the team with 20 points, but left the game early in the second half with what looked to be a severe leg injury. His status is surely a storyline to watch as Auburn moves on to face the winner of Kentucky and Houston in the Elite 8.
Auburn can run with anyone. Even against the Gazelles in North Carolina, the Tigers proved faster and more dangerous.
