Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer might think he's motivating his players with his recent comments, but they may just be harsh enough to push one of them out of town.
That player is two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Xavier Rhodes, who clearly took exception to his HC saying that he needs to play up to the five-year,
Safe to say Rhodes isn’t happy in MIN and he agrees pic.twitter.com/ZujAOUCZA1— Chris Who? (@CScruggs_) March 27, 2019
This of course is mere speculation, but how betrayed would you feel if your coach was calling you out after consistently being an ELITE player at your respective position?
And if Rhodes were to want out of Minny, there would reportedly be several suitors for his services.
Mike Zimmer: Xavier Rhodes needs to play up to his contract https://t.co/DQyUvvQK5k— ProFootballTalk (@ProFootballTalk) March 27, 2019
Sure, 2018 wasn't Xavier's best season in the league, but he was hindered by nagging groin, hamstring and ankle injuries.
It's too early to assume anything, but Zimmer better make nice with Rhodes or he could be down of the league's best defensive back's come training camp.
